Countries such as Norway, Germany, and China have announced plans to phase out fossil-fuel cars. In this mobility revolution, the Hong Kong E-Vehicles Business General Association (HKEVA) , founded in 2017, has been dedicated to “promoting innovation, fostering collaboration, and gathering expertise.” The association brings together professionals from the automotive industry, the Legislative Council, power supply and distribution companies, multinational corporations, EV charging solution pioneers, innovative technology experts, car dealers, green transport specialists, smart city advocates, and EV users. Its advisory team includes vehicle manufacturers, renowned green vehicle research institutes, university professors, and scholars. The association is honoured to have Professor Ching-chuen Chan, a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, widely known as the “Father of Electric Vehicles in Asia,” as its Permanent Honorary President.
HKEVA provides a platform for discussion, information sharing, and recommendations to support the development of Hong Kong’s Smart City Blueprint, with a particular focus on green intelligent transportation and the smooth adoption of green vehicle technologies.

Case 1: Multi-point Collision Damage Assessment – Private Car
A Lexus ES300 was involved in a collision at an urban junction. The right front door mirror was severely damaged; multiple areas including front/rear fenders, bumpers, and doors suffered dents and scratches. Our team conducted an on-site inspection, documented all damage, and estimated repair costs based on market rates and original manufacturer parts. The forensic report established a reasonable repair cost range, providing solid, objective grounds for negotiations between the owner and the insurer. The client successfully obtained full compensation of HK$33,651.
Case 2: Secondary Damage During Towing – Commercial Vehicle
A Volvo truck (UE1896) suffered a tyre blowout and required towing. During the tow, the tow truck failed to engage its handbrake, causing the coupling to detach and resulting in severe secondary damage to the Volvo. The truck’s fuel tank ruptured, the rear underrun protection bar was bent, and multiple chassis components (including the crankshaft oil seal) were damaged. We systematically inspected the damage, referenced the manufacturer’s repair manual and parts catalogue, distinguished between the initial blowout damage and the towing mishap, and precisely quantified the losses attributable solely to the towing operator’s negligence. The report identified a specific loss of HK$77,820, providing irrefutable evidence for the logistics company to pursue legal action against the towing service provider.
Case 3: Scratch Damage Assessment – Minor Collision
A vehicle sustained continuous scratches on its right rear side during a low-speed scrape. We conducted a focused inspection, assessed the extent of damage, and estimated the reasonable market cost of paint repair. The quick, targeted assessment report determined a fair market repair cost of HK$33,651, enabling the client to efficiently settle the minor accident compensation dispute with the third party.
